After holding a successful debut concert dubbed King of the night I sat down with Alex Khan a DJ who has been creating waves around Tororo. Don't be fooled by the young looks, he could give your favorite DJ a run for his money. Signed to Rock Entertainment Alex Khan gives you an insight into his personal life
Here is an excerpt of the interview.
QN: who is DJ Alex Khan?
A: I am called Were Alex a.k.a DJ Alex Khan , a DJ by profession, born in Jinja in a village called Bugaya . I come from a humble family of five, two sisters and three brothers. Am signed under Rock Entertainment.
QN:How old are you?
A: I am 24 years old
QN: When did you start Deejaying?
A: My journey as a DJ started in 2015, first as ‘a speaker boy’, under the tutorship of the Legendery DJ Dennoh, a well respected figure in the DJ Community in Eastern Uganda, I rose through the ranks to a full time DJ
QN: What inspired you to become a DJ
A: My love for music dates back to my high school days, I would admire especially how the Deejays got us to groove on the dancehall floor, it was amazing how they did it, I wished to become like them.
QN: Who inspired you?
A: Major Lazer on the song Lean on and boom, the beats were captivating and from then I started following them on their social media, I knew I wanted to be like them.
QN: Why do you call yourself King Of The Night?
A: I came up with the name because I realised each time I got on the decks, I made people dance, the night is the best time for a DJ to make people dance and I realised nobody does it better than DJ Alex Khan. I rule the night kingdom.
A: I loved watching Indian movies, my favourite actors were Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan , so my friends nicknamed me Khan after those two.
QN: Where do you see yourself in five years?
A: I see myself surpassing Major Lazer and probably have a DeeJay academy to my name. I Also want to add producing to my repertoir.
QN: What’s your favourite gadget?
A: My laptop
QN: Whats your dream gadget?
A: Pioneer DJ Mixer
QN: What’s your favourite food?
A: Spaghetti because it’s easy to prepare
QN: Who is your favourite local Artist?

A: Eddy Kenzo because we almost share the same back ground, the streets are my stomping yard.
QN: What’s your dream car?
A: A Ferrari
QN: whats your favourite sport?
A: Football (soccer)

QN: Favorite hobby?
A: Listening to music

A: Hiphop and dancehall
QN: Dream destination?
A: California, I love the entertainment life.
QN: If you were left on an island, what would be the three things you wouldn’t want to live without?
A: My laptop, phone and food.
QN: Are your working on any new projects?
A: yes I am I've just released a new mixtape titled Street bash volume 19 meaning its the 19th episode of my Streetbash mixtapes.
